WLFC and Copa Airlines Join Superb Asset Tracking Trials

Superb Digital Technologies LLC (“Superb”), a provider of digital aviation asset management solutions and subsidiary of Superb Aerospace Technologies LLC, is expanding its collaboration with leading aviation industry participants through operational trials with Willis Lease Finance Corporation (WLFC) and Copa Airlines, building on its ongoing engine stand fleet tracking activities with GOL Linhas Aéreas.

These initiatives reflect growing industry interest in digitally connected aviation assets and demonstrate the versatility of Superb’s IoT-enabled tracking and asset management platform across airline operations, aircraft engine leasing, storage and logistics.

Off-Wing Engine Visibility and Environmental Monitoring

Superb is collaborating with customers to evaluate advanced tracking and monitoring technologies for aircraft engines and associated transportation equipment.

A key focus is the ability to digitally associate an aircraft engine’s unique Engine Serial Number (ESN) with the engine stand on which it is mounted. This allows engine owners and lessors to maintain visibility of individual engines during off-wing periods, without requiring tracking devices to be installed directly on the engines.

The collaboration also explores wireless temperature and humidity sensing inside protective engine transportation bags, providing additional information about environmental conditions during long-term storage and transportation.

By integrating location, engine identification and environmental data, Superb aims to support improved asset oversight, logistics coordination and engine preservation management.
